Interactive Environments Evaluation

My interactive space project was based on a “date style” scenario, going through the process of getting ready for a date, then eventually deciding whether or not to choose to date him due to him sending a text telling you he’s running late. Overall i am really pleased with the outcome of this. At first i struggled to produce an idea i felt comfortable with using, and especially producing an idea i could expand on. However at the beginning the idea felt quite basic and if i had produced it normally i don’t think i’d have been pleased with the outcome, therefore i decided to expand on this by editing the images i had created by highlighting the colours of the items i wanted to be picked or clicked on to lead to other paths.
The things i like about the outcome is the effect colour picking has had on it, i think it produces a more simple way of getting through the images.
However if i were to change anything about it i would do the following;
-Create more choice, two of my links when picking dresses lead back to the original wardrobe image, if I were to re do this project i would have added links to be able to carry these two dresses through to the rest of the map.
- Produced more images that showed more of the process, this would have meant adding further events such as makeup etc. I feel that this would have made it more enjoyable to do as you get more of a feel of what’s actually happening in the sequence.
- Added text in the images to give more of an idea to the viewer of which general direction they’re going in, as from feedback quite a lot of people had difficulty navigating around the page.
